Popcorn Sales are going on right now, we have decided just to sell popcorn individually. Due date to turn in your orders and money is November 2.

Recharter packets were also distributed this week, where we sign back up with BSA. This year we dropped our fees to $50 for the year. This includes fees for the boy, an adult, Boys Life subscription, and Pack fees for the whole year. See Lori or your den leader for more information and a packet if you don't have one. Date to turn in paperwork and fees is October 26.

Keep working on your advancements, and help any new boys in your den with the Bobcat trail. See you soon!

Summer Happenings

We're halfway through summer, and the boys have done several different activities sprinkled through their lazy days. Which is a good thing - they want to play! Summer kicked off with the boys graduating from their year of Cub Scouts on to the next rank. Moms were presented with their pins, and the boys were presented with their awards and their scarves and books for the coming year.
The Webelos II gang received their Arrow of Light awards and bridged on to their waiting Troops. We'll miss them, but I'm sure we'll see some of them in the fall at Webelos Woods.

Next up at the end of June was Movie Night. We played a few games on the lawn until it got really dark, then gathered around to watch the show.

The Elks Lodge held their annual Flag Day ceremony in June. The boys participated in parading in the colors, and learned a little about the history of our flag.

Some boys went camping this summer...

... and some of our boys went to Cub Scout Day Camp this last week. Five days spent doing arts and crafts, working on belt loops, advancements and pins, shooting arrows and bb guns, eating things they cooked, dropping eggs, petting a K-9, and getting drenched by the firemen. Tons of fun!
